He is so much like me, so much like his Dad, and still so much a mystery. His heart so brave and yet so tender, uncertain. Looking into his eyes I see my soul and I know that I can never fathom his depths. Him always the easy one, out in three pushes. Never afraid to try anything, he follows in footsteps two years the larger. I would rock him resting on my lap, ask him if he liked his day, his dinner, playing with his toys – always a nod into my chest, yes. He aims to please. I can give him that but the world so cynical it oozes displeasure. I read him Psalm 63, explain how we live in a dry and weary land, no water but we sing beneath His wing. “I luv u a rot so much, I luv u a rot so rot.” Arms flung wide open, hugs and tickles, nuggles galore. He thinks his Dad and big brothers are amazing. My newest little builderman taking after the big buildermen in the family – so proud to help Dad! It’s crazy to look at the smushball he was a year ago and now he has dreams and ambitions and is growing so big! Oooh I love his fuzzy golden hair, and mmm those eyes! 9-17-11
