How do you speak of the things you live together in that time? I can’t give voice to letting down every defense and building walls so high you think there’s no way through. There are no words for a love so deep and true that death itself does not destroy it. No spelling out all the things you like and the bits that drive you crazy. How does any of that stand in the face of life tossed straight and hard at you, when you still walk hand in hand? Our days and arms are filled with them, our little ones, our bodies the glue that fragile holds this all together. This sweet family just returned to the States after a few years abroad. Their wonder and joy was so vivid, and made for such a lovely evening together.
